Agonda Beach
Agonda beach is long and quiet.For those times when you want to get away from
the crowds. Fringed with palms and casuarinas and backed by the large hill.
Goa Agonda beach is a paradise for peaceful contemplation. It is not easy to
reach Agonda Beach because of its distance from the main roads and lack of buses.
The best way to reach this beach is by a scooter or motors bike. If you driving
towards Goa's Panaji from Palolem, the next beach is Agonda beach.
Aguada Beach
Fort Aquada is really worth a visit to get a feel of the old Portuguese regime.
One of the highlights is the Lighthouse Jail. There are great views of Aquada
Beach from Fort itself. To reach Goa Aguada beach you'll probably have to arrange
your own means of transport. You can hire a taxi or perhaps a motorbike. You
can hire the bikes on a daily charge basis. Goa Aguada beach is situated 4km
from Sinquerim beach.
Anjuna Beach
Anjuna is also known for its full-moon rave parties. They are for and organised
by young tourists and have attracted thousands of tourists. There is even a
fleamarket (see picture) The nearest railway station is at Karmali, 11 km away
from Panaji and 29 km from Anjuna. There are buses every hour to Anjuna from
Mapusa .
Arambol Beach
A special beach up in North Goa which is both rocky and sandy. It is very popular
but is one of the less commercial beaches with basic amenities such as its own
alternetive health facilities, paragliding school, yoga gurus, wholefood cafes
and a nearby lake fed with boiling hot springs.Goa Arambol beach is approximately
50 kms from Panaji, the state capital of Goa.
Ashwem Beach
Ashwem beach situated is to the south of Arambol and is a quiet beach where
contmplating the vast stretches of sands is a peaceful way to idle away the
day. There are a few beach shacks and huts in the middle where there is a bit
more life happening.
Baga Beach
Baga Beach is a beautiful beacah, many say it is like a film set ! magnificent
white surf crashing down n the brown sand and pleasant breezes ripple through
the palm trees. Baga beach is in North Goa. It is encircled by Arpora-Nagoa,
Saligao and Candolim, in the Bardez taluka, and is just 15 km from Panjim, the
capital of the state of Goa.
Benaulim Beach
Benaulim beach is yet another very quiet beach, no massive raves here! It starts
where Colva beach ends. The best thing about Benaulim beach is that it is still
very undiscovered. Benaulim beach is in south Goa and lies 41 km away from Panaji,
capital of Goa.
Benavali Beach
Benavali beach is a small, laid back resort. You can relax here and take life
easy. Benavali Beach has a handful of cheap hotels and some excellent seafood
restaurants.
Bogmalo Beach
Bogmalo beach has quiet and busy in equal measure. It is only 18km from Dabolim
airport,
Calangute Beach
Calangute beach is a hippy haven, they discovered this beach in the late 60s.
They loved the beauty of the Calangute beach and it soothed their psychadelic
eyes, and it soon became a popular tourist beach. Calangute beach is in North
Goa, Arpora-Nagoa, Saligao and Candolim, in the Bardez taluka, and is just 15
km from Panajim, the capital of Goa.
Candolim Beach
This is one of the most popular beaches in Goa. Candolim is near Aguada beach
in the north of Goa and also lies close to the Sinquerim beach. .
Cansaulim Beach
Cansaulim is a popular beach about 15kms from Margao in the Mormugao taluka
in south Goa. The beach is pristine with beautiful golden sands.
Carmona Beach
Carmona beach is in the Salcete district of South Goa. It has a lively feel
with all sorts of entertainments, hotels and fantastic seafood restaurants.
Cavelossim Beach
Cavelossim id one of the last major towns in southwest Salcette and is situated
11 km south of Colva. The beach is the most southerly beach in the Salcete subdivision
and is located 7 km south of Varca beach. The main attraction at Cavelossim
beach is the dolphin watching.
Chapora Beach
Chapora is 10 kms. from Mapusa in North Goa. One of the most appealing and interesting
beaches of Goa. Tucked near a Portuguese fort which is on the opposite, northern
side of the headland
Coco Beach

Situated at the mouth of the Nerul River on the Mandovi Estuary, Coco beach
lies directly opposite Panaji. There are many lively restaurants which are busy
in the afternoon, but life quietens down at night.
Colva Beach
Colva Beach is down in South Goa. It is located just 6 km away from the city
of Margao. It’s wide and naturally beautiful and has a stream coursing
through it. The nearest railway station to reach Colva beach in Goa is at Karmali,
11 km away from Panaji. Panaji is 40 km away from Colva.
Dona Paula Beach
Located near to Panaji (7km) Dona Paula Beach is known as the "Lovers Paradise"
and was named after Dona Paula de Menezes. Dona Paula Beach in Goa is sits to
the south of the hammer-shaped headlands that divide the Zuari and Mandovi estuaries.
There is a wonderful view of the Mormugao harbor. Plenty of palm treess and
casuarina groves. The capital city being so near makes it a popular tourist
sight.
Hollant Beach
The Hollant beach is a very busy beach and that is because it is so beautiful.
It is 2km from Bogmalo beach.
Mandrem Beach
Mandrem beach is situated to the north of Ashwem towards Arambol. It is an quiet
beach with vast stretches of empty sand and little shade.It is located in the
Pernem taluka.
Miramar Beach
Miramar Beach is only 3 kms from the capital of Goa, Panaji. A delightful beach
of golden, soft sands, surrounded by palm trees facing the blue Arabian Sea..
Palolem Beach
Palolem Beach - is "Paradise Beach" and is in South Goa. The beach
sretches about a mile and is secluded with idyllic scenery. Palolem beach is
just 3 km away from Canacona Railway Junction, on the Konkan Railway. You could
take taxis or an auto-rickshaw to from Margao, 40 km away. But maybe you could
take one of the regular buses from Margao to Palolem that would drop tourists
at Canacona village.
Siridao Beach
Lots of shells at this beach near the Zuari estuary. The popular shells are
oyster and Pearl Shells. The Siridao beach is both rocky and sandy.
Utorda Beach
Utorda is an idyllic strip of palm-ringed shore between Arrosim beach and Majorda
Beach.
Varca Beach
Varca beach is about 2 kms south of Benaulim Beach in South Goa.The main attraction
at Varca beach is the dolphin watching.
Velsao Beach
The Velsao Beach is the vivacious Beach Capital of Goa. It is only a small stretch
of sandy beach on the southern coast of Goa. But this is where the nightlife
really happens!
